I will publish here reports, many pictures and information about various, interesting trekking and travel tours all over the world , until mid 2003. Additionally, I will collect information about Trekking-Tours.
Equipment List for Trekking-Tours
Since 1993, I have continuously expand my Equipment List for Trekking-Tours which
consists meanwhile of 9 pages. At present, this list is only available in German, but I will translate it, soon.
This list arose from many of my Trekking-tours and wants to be a kind of check-list during the preparation of
a Trekking tour. Of course, this list cannot be complete, but I tried to add also equipment which one
needs very seldom but which might be very useful for special tours. For sure, nobody will take all the
equipment listed here for only one tour, but I wanted to keep the freedom to use this list for
completely different tours. The aim of this list is just to give a support that one will hopefully not
forget anything for a Trekking tour.
This equipment list for Trekking tours covers almost all scopes of the equipment, like cloths, first aid, food, photo, travel preparations and so on. Furthermore, the list has also space for own additions in empty lines. It differs additionally between winter-tours, summer-tours, optional equipment (like snow-shoes) and things which one uses together (like the tent). Additionally, there is an OK column to mark equipment which is already packed or done (like water-filter packed, prolongation of the passport done, and so on). The small picture to the right shows a screen-shoot of the first page.
I use this list in the following way: First, I make a dash in the OK column for all things which I will definitively not use for the planned tour. Then I make a cross in the OK column for all things which I have already packed or done. Then I can check easily just the right column to see what I have still to do and which things I have still to pack.
